Parks and Recreation

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board helps guide the City’s parks, recreational programs, and public spaces. The Board advises City Council on ways to enhance leisure opportunities, maintain facilities, and create welcoming, accessible spaces for all residents.

Purpose & Responsibilities

The Board’s responsibilities include:

• Recommending improvements to parks, trails, and recreational facilities

• Advising on community programs, events, and recreational initiatives

• Reviewing policies related to park use, maintenance, and safety

• Engaging the public to gather feedback on parks and recreation needs

Citizen Participation

Residents are encouraged to attend meetings, share ideas, and participate in planning for new programs or facilities. Public input ensures that recreational opportunities reflect community interests and enhance quality of life.
