2021 LOCAL STREET PAVING PROJECT

The CITY OF CARO offers this Invitation to Bid for the following work:

2021 LOCAL STREET PAVING PROJECT, proposed project consists of HMA base crushing and shaping, HMA pavement, structure adjustments, curb and gutter repairs, pavement markings and other related work for Park drive from M-81 to S. Almer Street and Lincoln Street from Hooper Street to N. Almer Street.

Drawings, Specifications and other Contract documents for submitting a bid must be obtained upon application at ROWE Professional Services Company. No fee required for plans and specifications if requesting an electronic copy (pdf) otherwise $5.00 per set fee if mailed. Plans and specifications will not be mailed until payment is received.  ROWE Professional Services Company address is 128 North Saginaw Street, Lapeer, MI 48446 and the telephone number is (810) 664-9411.  Bidding documents must be obtained from ROWE Professional Services Company.  Bids submitted on forms obtained anywhere besides ROWE Professional Services Company will not be accepted.

In accordance with Act No. 453, Public Acts of 1976, the City of Caro does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions or privileges of employment, or a matter directly related to employment, because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, or a handicap unrelated to an individual’s ability to perform the job.

The City of Caro, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formality or technicality in any Proposal in the interest of the Owner. 

Bids must be submitted to the City Clerk at City of Caro, 317 South State Street, Caro, MI  48723 on or before June 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.  Bids will be opened at City Hall at this time and date.

The successful bidder will be required to complete the work by October 22, 2021.  The City of Caro reserves the right to complete the work at the expense of the Contractor if the work is not completed by that date.
